Jill Swartz is co-founder and CEO of Spotlight Marketing Communications, bringing more than 25 years of experience in public relations and strategic communications across financial services, commercial real estate, entertainment, and consumer products.
Since co-founding Spotlight in 2011, Swartz has overseen company operations while leading client communications initiatives, including executive positioning, media relations, and integrated communications strategy and execution. She works closely with senior leadership teams to develop clear, compliant messaging that supports capital raising, brand visibility, and long-term growth.
Previously, Swartz served as managing director of public relations and events at an investment sponsor specializing in tax-advantaged investments. In that role, she directed national public relations and event strategy, led proactive media outreach, and secured coverage across national, regional, and industry publications. She also led communications for the firm’s 2007 reverse merger with Grubb & Ellis Company, a 50-year-old publicly traded real estate services company, resulting in the creation of a 6,000-employee organization.
Earlier in her career, Swartz was director of publicity at CurrentPR, representing clients in the entertainment and consumer products sectors, including E! Online, LEGO, Vintage Peanuts, Buena Vista, and independent film producers.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from California State University, Fullerton.
